The François Doucet Confiseur team is proud to announce that we won the third prize for innovation at the ISM competition that was held virtually in Cologne from the 31st of January to the 3rd of February 2021.
THE WORLD’S LARGEST TRADE FAIR FOR SWEETS AND SNACKS
The international trade fair ISM is the most important gathering in the world of confectionery and snacks. It brings together thousands of exhibitors from around the globe in Cologne each year, to present the entire panoply of confectionery, biscuit and snack products. The event highlights new trends and innovative products to a professional audience that includes the sector’s biggest stakeholders.
Products presented
François Doucet Confiseur’s ‘Kara’ Fruités’ were selected by the jury for their excellence and innovation. These delicious little balls, with natural flavours including passion fruit, lime, raspberry and banana, were a hit thanks to their crisp and crunchy gluten-free cereal centre, covered in melt-in-your-mouth white chocolate and natural fruit powder.
The delighted jury described them in these words:
“Third place goes to ‘Kara’Fruité’, crunchy cereal coated in white chocolate and fruit powder, which won over the judges thanks to their quality, fruitiness, crunchiness and the lightness of the various ingredients they bring together.
The product is notable for its quality and authentic taste of fruit, with no artificial flavours. It is gluten-free, fruity and crunchy, and reflects expert craftsmanship. Its small size makes it a snack that is both light and chocolatey, ideal for nibbling between meals.”
This recognition means all the more to us because we are the first French contestants on the podium since 2009. It is important to us to work with French ingredients, particularly those from our beautiful Provence, which we put at the heart of each one of our recipes.
